The St. Mary’s Recplex is a modern, multi-use recreation facility. It features an ice rink during the winter months, as well as skate sharpening services, a concrete surface floor in the summer, and a year-round walking track.

Affordable Equipment Rentals

The Municipality of the District of St. Mary’s offers a variety of equipment available for rent, including Kayaks (incl. paddles and life jackets), bicycles (inc. helmets), tents, fishing rods and more. Rentals are open to community members and organizations. Browse available items, check rental fees, and submit your request online.

Country Harbour Ferry

The Country Harbour ferry is one of four cable ferries operating in Nova Scotia. In the summer, the ferry departs every 15 minutes. During the rest of the year, the ferry departs on the hour from Country Harbour side and on the half-hour from the Port Bickerton side. Signs are posted to notify travellers if the ferry is not running or you may phone 902-387-2200. July 1- September 30 – 7:00am to 6:00pm

This ferry is all a part of the Eastern Shore experience, so feel free to get out of your car, stretch your legs and talk to the crew during this short crossing. Cars and bicycles are free.
