Featured Stop: Access Point #3 (Waternish)
Access Point #3 is one of four official access points on the St. Mary's River Paddlers Trail, which covers approximately 20 km.
The site features interpretive signs equipped with "You Are Here" maps and water condition updates.
Signs include stories and photographs about the surrounding area alongside interactive QR codes linking to historical and ecological information.
Tips If You Plan to Paddle:
The Main Branch, where Access Point #3 is located, generally has reliable water during much of the paddling season.
The St. Mary's River Association recommends checking current water levels before heading out, especially if you plan on paddling other branches of the river.
Return to Sherbrooke afterward.
Relax, freshen up, or enjoy some quiet downtime before supper.
Enjoy a relaxed dinner at the inn restaurant.
End your day with a quiet twilight stroll along the river or through the village. Because St. Mary’s boasts incredibly low light pollution, don't forget to look up—the stargazing here is spectacular.
